In 1996 we opened what we thought was a necessary addition to Pioneer Boulevard - an Indo-Pak Bookstore. Since then we still remain the only Indo-Pak Bookstore in Town.
At the time, on Pioneer Boulevard, one could find many facets of the sub-continent's beautiful culture - jewelry, music, clothes, and foods - but the community had failed to recognize its great (as well as recent) literary minds. There was no bookstore. ---MAYBE NOT NECESSARY?
A family of eggheads, growing up in different parts of the Sub-Continent and the Middle East, we have gathered a vast knowledge of the region's different languages and with it the respect for each, and all communities' religions and beliefs. Certainly there was a need in the Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities for a bookstore that catered to each community's particular interests (in their own particular languages) and we were just the family to do it!
With growing interest in all things Eastern in both popular and academic Western thought, isn't it about time, you looked into the true source of all the hype? Come read the Gatha, the Gita, the Guru Granth, the Quran, and the Vedas, all under one roof, in one place at Books N Bits.
